VITA Planning and Landscape Architecture, Inc. is located north of San Francisco in Marin County and consists of a core group of planners, landscape architects and architects. The focus of our practice is planning and landscape design for large-scale, high-end recreation communities, urban mixed-use, hotel and resort development. We find that most of our projects are “special situations” where a new market opportunity, a sensitive environment, a historic context or a complex approvals process requires an innovative approach. We have completed projects in many regions of the United States as well as the Caribbean, Hawai’i, Asia, Central and South America and throughout the Pacific Rim.
We have dedicated a significant part of our practice to understanding the high-end residential and resort markets. What distinguishes our firm from others of a similar nature is our ability to view the project from a large-scale, master planning level and understand how that vision can be reflected in the detailed site planning and landscape design of world class homes, resort or mixed-use properties.
We also believe that award-winning projects must be documented and executed by those who understand the “big picture”. Accordingly, we emphasize complete, comprehensive construction documents, often placing a firm representative in the field to act as a member of the owner’s construction management team.
